Yip visits the European Space Agency (ESA) headquarters in Paris to tour the nutrient recovery technology in their urine separation toilets (all 72 toilets in the building--impressive!). The process is developed as part of the MELiSSA (Micro-Ecological Life Support System Alternative) project for circular life support systems in space.
A sample bottle of the concentrated urine fertilizer (not for sale in France yet because of regulatory constraints).
