Yip Lab Hosts Inaugural Water Cities Dialogue During Climate Week NYC 2026!

The Yip Lab hosted the inaugural Water Cities Dialogue at Columbia University during Climate Week NYC 2026, bringing together researchers, policymakers, water innovators, and city officials to advance urban water security and climate resilience. Co-chaired by Yip and Professors Vincenzo Naddeo of the University of Salerno and Shadi Hasan of Khalifa University, the dialogue explored innovative solutions for water reuse, desalination, urban flooding, and sustainable water management. The event launched an international dialogue connecting New York, Abu Dhabi, Naples, and Venice, with the next meeting planned for Abu Dhabi during the 2026 UN Water Conference in December and the dialogue culminating at Venice Climate Week in 2027.
