For his creative and novel contributions to environmental science and technology, Yip is named as an Honorable Mention of the 2021 James J. Morgan Early Career Award. The James J. Morgan Environmental Science & Technology Early Career Award, named after the first Editor-in-Chief of Environmental Science & Technology, aims to recognize those early career researchers leading the fields in new directions through creative, new ideas consistent with Morgan’s early contributions in environmental chemistry.
