Yip presented research from his group titled "Switchable Solvents at the Energy-Water-Environmental Nexus: Hypersaline Brine Desalination using Low-Grade Thermal Energy" at an invited talk at the 11th Asia Pacific Forum on Renewable Energy held in Jeju, South Korea. He was also a panelist in the discussion on the Pathways to Carbon Neutrality 2050, sharing his perspectives on decarbonization of the water sector.
