Our paper in ES&T Engineering is a winner of the 2022 Best Paper Awards!

November 10, 2023

Our ACS ES&T Engineering article investigating counterion mobility in ion-exchange membranes is recognized by the journal as one of the best research papers of 2022!

The awards recognize the outstanding achievements of the research community in the field of environmental engineering and technology that most significantly advanced our comprehension of crucial environmental engineering issues and the technological solutions necessary for a sustainable world. In the collaborative study with the University of Virginia, we accurately modeled the order-of-magnitude differences in mobilities between mono-, di-, and trivalent ions using a first-principles-based transport framework of mobile counterions migrating down a rough electric potential gradient.
