Our collaborative research “Pathways for minimal and zero liquid discharge with enhanced reverse osmosis technologies: Module-scale modeling and techno-economic assessment” is published in Desalination!

In the joint study with the Fthenakis group at Columbia University, we investigate recent innovations in membrane technology, which we term enhanced reverse osmosis (RO), for minimal and zero liquid discharge, a rapidly emerging application. The study performed module-scale modeling of different enhanced RO technologies to shed light on the process-level demand and levelized cost of water.
